Quinnell, also called as Quinn, is a 75 year-old dark witch. He owns the flower shop, Bloomschilde and a hospital, St. Augustine of Hippo General Hospital. He is accompanied by an unbound familiar, Martha - a nagual, who has been with him since he was a teenager.

Behind his public businesses is his underground service, Bloomschilde Services. This is his business where he can sate his need to practice his magic and thirst for chaos and bloodbath. He accepts cases from the police to common people who can't fight for themselves due to societal constraints. Reason for the name: His name is a combination of names that tells about “a philosopher who muses in the deep of the night”. His full name is long to follow the precaution of his family to protect themselves from name-based curses. He officially uses his first name and nickname in public while his full name is hidden for protection purposes.

Reason for the nickname: Quinn. It is just the shortest they can come up with and it sounded unisex. Later in his life, the nickname suited him since he sleeps with men and women.
